Strawberry Farm Fun!
Strawberry Farm Fun!
Hey girl hey. If you had the chance to review my Summer Bucket List post, you have a little insight into what I am about to deep dive into! 🙂 If you have not read my Summer Bucket List post, check it out here!
My kids and I were in search of some weekend fun and we wanted to do something we have NEVER done before. Since we are from the mid-west (Chi-town), we would go apple picking every season. It was just the Midwest thing to do. But now that we are Georgians, the thing to do down here is peach and berry picking. I thought the switch up will be refreshing and since it was 9am on Saturday and we were completely bored, I decided we will pick some berries! I did a little deep dive into my bucket list and that is how we ended up at Southern Belle Strawberry Farm.
So let’s unpack :)! If you want a fast forward to my opinion, sure, I LOVED IT! I had so much fun and so did the kids. Now, let’s back up….
The farm was a nice drive away from me but that worked out because my 2 year old has time to take a nap and prepare for the fun . Upon arrival, I noticed that it was not too crowded. We were able to get a really good point in the front of the facility. We arrived around 2pm and therefore most of the crowd was leaving. The farm closed at 6pm so I felt 2pm was the best time to arrive and as it relates to the crowd, it was! The facility was easy to maneuver and really inexpensive. See the details of admission below.
There was plenty to do outside of picking berries. There is a activity area that I highly recommend. The kids are able to play and make large bubbles, indulge in a trampoline park and petting zoo as well as race tractors. This was a lot of activity for my kids and in the Georgia heat, they were exhausted! You can check out some of the fun photos below of the kids having a blast.
Once you get passed the activities, there is more…
The strawberry farm! This is where you will go to pick berries. The cost of picking is super inexpensive (see below) and it is a fun experience for the kids. Much like any fruit picking, you take your basket and pick the best fruit you can find. This was also enjoyable for the kids. Now, a word of advice, there are bees…you have been warned.
The last joy of this trip is the store. It was such a gem. The store was full of fun treats such as fresh made berry jams, berry pound cake and fresh goodies. You are also able to buy  fresh fruits if you do not want to pick them. It is a fun place and you will not be disappointed by your visit!
Enjoy and let me know how much fun you have 🙂
