Pastel Lip Colors

There is a when and who?

Let’s start with the who…
Pastel lippies are like crop tops. Not EVERYONE should attempt & those that do…proceed with caution ⚠️, please!

The myth is only light complexions should indulge in pastel lip colors. This is so false! 🙋🏾 women of all color have the potential to indulge. 🙎🏼🙎🏾🙎🏿 But (yes, I started a sentence with but, so what) there are some things to consider…
1). Iip shape
2). What else do I have going on?
Ex. Hair color; contact color; outfit
3). Where am I going (see below)
4). Teeth color (SOO important)

Let me explain:
1). Lip shape- we all love those sexy gram pics of the pastel pinks, greens and purples but that MUA did 8 different steps (ok maybe 4) to achieve that look. You are only seeing the final look. So when you buy MAC’s Hereon lippie and wonder why it doesn’t look like _______(insert popular Mua) try not to be soooooo confused.

2). What else do I have going on?-a lot of artist (Mua included) use the color wheel to coordinate a look. A lot of things go into a look. For example, you do not need Red hair, blue contacts, orange sundress, blue shoes, red socks AND purple lips!!! 😣

3). Where am I going?…(HeHe: see below)

4). Teeth!- So, apparently no one is aware, bold lip colors make your teeth very noticeable. If your teeth are yellow initially 😒 they will be butter with this bold lip we are attempting to kill. So…Crest White Strips are a must 😁

Picture it 📺. I’m getting my Monday morning Starbucks coffee. It’s 6:30 in the am and again, it’s Monday.
I get to the window and DAMN!

The girl has blonde hair and lilac lipstick. Ma’am. It’s 6:30 and you are @ work; at Starbucks, not MAC Cosmetics. I didn’t know Starbucks allowed creative expression with makeup. Regardless of “who” you must know “when” a pastel lip or bold lip is appropriate.
