What is NervyMom?

NervyMom has a purpose solely driven from the love and life of motherhood. Women wear many hats. Being a mother is the most hat that a woman can wear. NervyMom will create a space for mothers and soon to be mothers to visit to remind themselves of who they are while being a mother. In today’s society, women don’t support each other in the manner we should. We are in this together and it is necessary to support and feel supported. NervyMom will be a space for women to come and support each other and learn that life may not be sweet but it is bittersweet. While there is a lot of mommy blogs premiering daily, NervyMom attempts to create a point of difference that displays flaws. Most mommy blogs want to focus on being perfect. There is a lot of emphasize on how to be perfect and prime. NervyMom will focus on you being you. For example, I can be a great mom but love to drink wine daily and you may enjoy a night out on the town with the girls! In addition to being Nervy, NervyMom will be a mom blog that focuses on the African American culture and the difficulties of being a mom within that culture.
